Cody Rhodes has named a “terrifying” aspect of life on WWE Raw and SmackDown that isn’t necessarily taught to NXT stars before they’re called up.
While often only staged in the familiar environment of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, NXT provides talent a nice taste of what’s to come in their WWE careers, helping them get to grips with how they should work on television and what’s expected of them.
AJ Styles was someone who bypassed NXT when he signed with WWE, but according to Triple H, admitted that he had no idea what was going on for his first six months in the company, due to not being familiar with how things worked in WWE, compared to wrestling elsewhere.
While WWE NXT has a whole host of experienced trainers ranging from Shawn Michaels, to Matt Bloom and Terry Taylor, Cody Rhodes has now revealed one thing he himself has began teaching young talent about when they make the jump to Raw or SmackDown.
Speaking with his guest Fallon Henley on the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Cody said that time management is a vitally important aspect of life on the main roster, and something he feels Fallon is excelling at thus far.
Cody said:
“One of my things that I know is not taught necessarily when they come up can be time management, when it comes to how SmackDown and Raw work. Because it is terrifying.
“You get there and it’s… ‘Oh, we’re doing your walk in 30 minutes.’ And as soon as your walk’s done ‘Can you be at the ring, you’re late for your rehearsal?’ You booked the walk how am I late for the rehearsal?
“They have a job to do so you can’t get mad at them, but then also you’re trying to focus on the content, I’m gonna deliver this unbelievable promo, I’m gonna do something physically impressive.
“And I feel like that’s where I’ve seen, you’re excelling at this so far in what you’ve done. It’s hard to get it all to where you don’t wanna feel like you overcame, you wanna feel fully prepared.”

Cody would then ask Fallon whether she feels fully prepared for life on the main roster, to which she replied:
“I feel like I’m prepared as I can be. I’ve had so much experience, I’ve had so many teachers and I feel like they say you’re never gonna feel 100% ready but I feel like I’m as ready as I can be now, given everything that I’ve gone through and everything that I’ve learned.”

Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid and Jacy Jayne all arrived on WWE SmackDown following WrestleMania 42, with Fallon and Lainey recently targeting WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella. While they lost their only meeting with the champions thus far, it appears as if their pursuit of gold is not yet over.
