Former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle has addressed NXT’s partnership with TNA Wrestling, noting that she has a soft spot for a certain star.
Michelle officially signed with TNA Wrestling as an agent in March, after previously appearing at the iMPACT on AMC premiere in January.
With the former WWE star now part of the TNA family, Michelle discussed her current home’s partnership with her former home in an interview with The Wrestling History Channel.
Noting that she was initially unaware of the partnership, Candice Michelle said:
“I didn’t know at first when I got there, and then a new superstar came in and I could tell they had hierarchy but I couldn’t figure out why. They were coming from NXT and I was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on?’
“Tommy (Dreamer) smartened me up on how they work interchangeably, and I thought ‘This is brilliant!’ It’s giving the up and coming WWE superstars a bigger platform and being on national TV (for another promotion).”

Noting that she has a soft spot for TNA Knockouts World Champion and NXT star Arianna Grace, Michelle continued:
“Arianna Grace being the champion, she’s incredible, and I have a sweet spot for her because she’s Santino (Marella)’s daughter. I just love that dynamic, the father-daughter thing.
“But it’s working smarter for both companies. It gives them an opportunity to build, it gives us an opportunity to be seen more. Together, it’s a really beautiful partnership that they formed.”
