Each year, Dave Meltzer conducts a poll amongst the subscribers to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Based on those readers’ votes an award for Wrestler of the Year is awarded to the wrestler who gets the highest score.
Each voter votes for the top 3. A wrestler gets 5 points for a first-place vote. 3 points are awarded for 2nd and 1 for 3rd.
This year’s winner is none other than Le’ Champion, Chris Jericho. It’s hard to argue with Chris Jericho winning the award. He held the AEW Title from the get-go and once again re-invented himself.
