The name of a new AEW show has potentially been revealed, with the company filing an application for a new trademark.
With next week’s AEW Dynamite and Collision episodes being under the Maximum Carnage name, a new name for a future show has seemingly emerged.
In a new filing the United States Patent and Trademark Office, AEW has filed for the term “EXILE ON PAIN ST”.
The USPTO filing is under Serial Number 99583713 and covers the Goods & Services category of:
“IC 041: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances;
Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services in the nature of a television series in the field of professional wrestling;
Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling.”
At the time of writing, AEW hasn’t confirmed plans for the term ‘Exile on Pain St’, but it has been speculated that it could be the name of a new Dynamite or Collision special, given similar phrases have been used for TV specials in the past.
Exile on Pain St appears to be a play on Exile on Main St, an album released by the Rolling Stones in 1972.
An assortment of past trademark filings from both AEW and WWE can be found right here.
