Undisputed WWE Championship in the ring

Coming off a series of taped episodes of television, WWE is set for a big week next week as it builds towards it’s upcoming events in Mexico City.

Across Raw, SmackDown, NXT and AAA, there are a number of big title matches planned.

With so many title matches set for next week, we could end up seeing several change hands.

Here is every potential title change we could see next week.

AAA Mega Championship – El Grande Americano

WWE star El Grande Americano

El Grande Americano defeated Chad Gable (Original El Grande Americano) in a Mask vs. Mask match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.

After defeating the Original El Grande Americano in the instant classic mask vs. mask match at Noche de los Grandes, El Grande Americano has set his sights on the AAA Mega Championship.

Current champion Dominik Mysterio recently betrayed El Grande to align with El Ojo’s Dorian Roldan and Omos, adding fuel to the fire to their upcoming title match.

El Grande remains beloved in AAA, and with the event taking place at the biggest show of the year, now definitely feels like the right moment to crown him champion.

Title Change Predicted?: Yes

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship – La Catalina

AAA star La Catalina

The other big title match taking place on night two of TripleMania next weekend will see Flammer’s legendary Reina de Reinas Championship reign be tested by La Catalina.

Ever since Catalina came into AAA as a major addition to the roster, she has set her sights on the title, with her coming up short in a three-way match also including Lady Shani.

It truly is a matter of if not Catalina then who for ending Flammer’s run. We will likely see the longest reign in Reina de Reinas history come to an end next weekend.

Title Change Predicted?: Yes

NXT Women’s Championship – Jaida Parker

At NXT Heatwave, Kelani Jordan finally got her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, and just as she has done with every title before, it only took one shot to get the gold.

After seemingly years of chasing the title, Kelani’s first defence will take place next week on NXT against Jaida Parker following her victory over Nattie at Heatwave.

Kelani will likely drop the title back to Kendal Grey when the time comes for it, so she will almost certainly retain on Tuesday.

Title Change Predicted?: No

NXT North American Championship – Tavion Heights

Another title that changed hands at Heatwave was the North American Championship, when Jackson Drake defeated Myles Borne for the gold.

After the match, Borne turned heel on his partner Tavion Heights after they had already lost the NXT Tag Team Championship earlier in the night.

With Heights set to challenge for the North American Title on Tuesday’s NXT, expect to see Myles appear to cost him the match.

Title Change Predicted?: No

Women’s World Championship – Stephanie Vaquer

WWE Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer

A WrestleMania 42 rematch is set to go down on tomorrow night’s WWE Raw show, when Stephanie Vaquer challenges Liv Morgan for the title.

Over the past few weeks, Stephanie has been butting heads with Becky Lynch on Raw, with the two of them both wanting to take the title from Liv.

Ultimately, their issues will likely come to a head tomorrow night, with Becky accidentally costing Stephanie the match.

Title Change Predicted?: No

Interim WWE Women’s Championship – Nia Jax

Nia Jax reigned as WWE Women’s Champion from SummerSlam 2024 through to January 3, 2025

After officially being cleared to compete as WWE Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green now has to fend off the challenge of Nia Jax.

Nia has been dominant over both Chelsea and Tiffany Stratton in recent weeks on SmackDown in preparation for the match, with her being set up to be the mountain for Chelsea to overcome.

Which she will.

Title Change Predicted?: No

Undisputed WWE Championship – Sami Zayn

Also on next week’s SmackDown in Mexico City, Sami Zayn is set to challenge CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship in his rematch after losing the title to Punk in Chicago.

Sami has made everyone on SmackDown’s life misery over the past few weeks, with countless enemies on the show now following his every move.

If Sami wants to get his title back, he should probably take care of those enemies first, and if not, at least one will appear to cost him the match.

Title Change Predicted?: No
