The WWE SmackDown roster is supremely stacked with talent right now, particularly in the men’s main event picture.
Sami Zayn has way more than a handful of sharks circling him for the Undisputed WWE Title, but that doesn’t mean there is no space left on the SmackDown roster.
When looking at other brands there are a number of stars that could certainly benefit from a change of scenery, whether due to a lack of compelling storylines on the current brand or opportunities to grow as a performer.
Here are three names we could see join the SmackDown brand from other shows:
Big Cass

Big Cass suffered his second loss since returning to WWE on the September 28 episode of Raw, being pinned by Dragon Lee.
Big Cass has only been back with WWE two months and it already feels as if a big change is required for his career.
He has tasted two losses in three matches on Raw, with both of those coming to stars that he far outweighs in the strength department (Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee). Unless WWE brought him back just to take pins they should consider moving him to SmackDown, where there are more exciting opportunities on the table.
While everyone is hoping for a reunion with Enzo Amore, Cass could potentially start up a new team on the blue brand with fellow heavyweight Baron Corbin; someone who is needing new direction himself after dropping the United States Title.
Ricky Saints – who Cass previously teamed with in AEW – is another name in need of something new, and could benefit greatly from a reunion with the seven foot star.
Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo reigned as NXT Champion for 148 days before losing the title to Grayson Waller at NXT Heatwave.
When it comes to NXT stars most in need of a call-up, Tony D’Angelo has to be the first name on that list.
Quite frankly that has been true for quite some time, as D’Angelo is the last of his crop of NXT 2.0. alum to receive a shot on Raw or SmackDown; spending five years in the WWE Performance Center at this point.
To be fair, his character now is more developed and less gimmicky – something that should stand him in better stead on the main roster, and he finally got to tick off the NXT Championship from his list of accolades this past year.
But now that the title run is over and he’s not looking to be the next in line for another shot, it’s certainly time for WWE to call D’Angelo up. Trick Williams will be needing a new US Title challenger after Money in the Bank and D’Angelo could certainly slot into that role.
Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night Two.
Another star who has very little left to do on his brand is former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Rollins wrapped up his feuds with both The Vision and Roman Reigns in 2026, and has now seemingly just waiting on the sidelines for the past two months for something to do.
When looking at the Raw roster it is admittedly quite hard to see where Rollins does fit in without retreading old ground. The same could be said for him on SmackDown, given the presence of CM Punk, however, there are at least more options that wouldn’t feel quite as stale for him than on Raw.
The main event title scene may be packed, but Rollins would certainly carve out a spot for himself somewhere.
