After weeks of speculation, Tommaso Ciampa confirmed that he plans to leave WWE when his contract expires very soon.
Despite his pending WWE exit, Ciampa also confirmed that he intends to continue wrestling for the next decade, so this opens the door for him to head to another promotion.
Considering his style and history with Ring of Honor, it would make plenty of sense if Ciampa made his way to All Elite Wrestling.
Here are six potential Tommaso Ciampa AEW debut plans after his WWE departure.
6. Join The Don Callis Family
Anytime a new star signs with AEW nowadays, most fans immediately believe that talent will make his way to The Don Callis Family.
In recent weeks, the faction has welcomed Andrade El Idolo and Jake Doyle into their ranks.
With Ciampa being someone who can be a highly touted free agent, it would make a ton of sense if Don Callis brought the former two-time NXT Champion into his stable.
Considering his accomplishments and accolades, Ciampa would be a wonderful addition to the largest group in the company right now.

5. Becoming Newest Member Of The Death Riders
The Death Riders has become one of the most prominently featured acts in All Elite Wrestling today.
Led by Jon Moxley, the stable has been in the main event picture since forming in 2024 and includes a litany of talent, such as Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia.
Looking at the aesthetics and style of the group, someone like Tommaso Ciampa feels like the kind of star that would add a ton to The Death Riders.
Becoming the newest member of The Death Riders would bring a new lease on life for the faction as well as Ciampa, who will certainly have a chip on his shoulder and added motivation coming to AEW.

4. Feud with Darby Allin
Tommaso Ciampa’s best run in WWE had to have been his stretch as the top heel on the NXT brand from 2017 to 2019.
The former two-time NXT Champion was known as “The Psycho Killer” and someone who does extremely well against an underdog babyface like Johnny Gargano.
The ultimate underdog babyface in All Elite Wrestling since the inception of the promotion has been Darby Allin.
A feud with Allin would be a perfect way to introduce Ciampa to a brand new company and show him what he offers inside the squared circle.

3. Attack On “Hangman” Adam Page
Another top babyface that would be an ideal opponent for Tommaso Ciampa upon his potential arrival in AEW would be “Hangman” Adam Page.
With his history in Ring of Honor, Page is someone that has his own past with Ciampa that could be called back to in a rivalry.
During their time together in ROH, Page and Ciampa were part of The Decade stable and faced each other in singles action back in 2014.
Rekindling this story, Page and Ciampa could deliver a heated and intense battle as well as rivalry that has all the potential to be one of the best in AEW this year.

2. Challenge Mark Briscoe For TNT Championship
Another former ROH alum that Tommaso Ciampa has some history with and worked with before is Mark Briscoe.
Ever since signing with All Elite Wrestling, Briscoe has become one of the most beloved babyfaces in the entire company today.
Back at AEW Full Gear 2025, Briscoe defeated Kyle Fletcher to become the new TNT Champion. He has proven to be a fighting champion in the months since then.
If Briscoe puts his title up in an open challenge, Ciampa answering the challenge would be an excellent way to introduce him to the AEW fanbase and could see him capturing gold in his first match in the company.

1. Reunion With FTR
There might not be any other stars on the AEW roster who know Tommaso Ciampa as well as FTR.
Known for their epic encounters back in NXT, Ciampa teamed with Johnny Gargano as DIY up against FTR in matches that put all four men on the map in the promotion.
While Gargano can not make the move to AEW with Ciampa right now, fans could see a whole new dynamic between the former WWE stars and the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.
A reunion with FTR could see Ciampa joining forces with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler to form an intimidating trio that could capture championship gold and run roughshod over the entire company moving forward.
