AAA is set to host it’s biggest event of the year this weekend, when the two nights of TripleMania 34 take place.
Night one of the show takes place in Las Vegas tomorrow night, while night two will take place on Sunday in Mexico City.
It has been reported that WWE is planning ‘unexpected elements’ for the show, notably the second night in Mexico City.
Here are some potential surprises for AAA TripleMania 34.
New Member Joins Los Perros Del Mal
Los Perros Del Mal reformed in AAA for the first time in over a decade on the June 20 episode of AAA on FOX, attacking El Grande Americano
Shortly after the return of Los Perros del Mal, the group is already down a member when Bronco Nima was removed from the group.
Nima’s removal from the group came due to his imminent main roster call up as part of the newly formed 946 faction with Lucien Price and Royce Keys on Monday Night Raw.
Daga has since offered a spot in the group to Penta, who rejected the offer, but the spare spot in the group remains up for grabs.
With Los Perros del Mal set to challenge for the Trios Championship at TripleMania, the new member of the group could appear on the show to help them score the win.
Main Roster Stars Enter Copa Bardahl
Omos entered and won last year’s Copa Bardahl
WWE has announced that this year’s TripleMania event will feature the Copa Bardahl Battle Royal.
Last year’s version of the Battle Royal saw Omos arrive in AAA and win the match, with his famous spot with Micro Man going viral.
The match featured other main roster stars such as Otis and Cruz Del Toro making surprise appearances in the match.
This year’s event could make for another opportunity for some main roster talents to appear on the show.
La Hiedra Costs Flammer Record-Breaking Reina de Reinas Championship Reign
Flammer is the longest reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion in history
On night two of TripleMania, Flammer is set to defend her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against La Catalina.
Since Catalina debuted in AAA, it seemed inevitable that she would be the one to dethrone Flammer and end her record-breaking reign as champion.
Flammer enters TripleMania as the longest reigning Reina de Reinas Champion in history, winning the title in August 2023.
In recent weeks there has been some miscommunication between Flammer and her Las Toxicas stablemate La Hiedra, who could ultimately be the one that costs her the title.
Chad Gable Helps El Grande Americano Win AAA Mega Championship
Chad Gable promised he would be back in AAA following his unmasking at Noche de los Grandes
Back at AAA Noche de los Grandes, El Grande Americano defeated the Original El Grande Americano in a mask vs. mask match to end their rivalry.
After unmasking, Chad Gable cut a promo where he ended it by saying he would be back in AAA to a huge pop from the very same crowd that booed him out of the building during the match.
At TripleMania, Dominik Mysterio will enter his AAA Mega Championship defence against El Grande Americano with Dorian Roldan and likely Omos in his corner, with El Grande himself needing someone to neutralise them.
Gable making the save to help take out El Ojo and help El Grande become Mega Champion would be an incredible moment.
