On the September 11 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated CM Punk to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Following this win, Zayn has been announced to make his first appearance on the September 18 SmackDown.
Following the controversial nature of his win, Zayn could be doing just about anything on this week’s show.
Here are some potential Sami Zayn SmackDown plans for his first week as Undisputed WWE Champion.
Undisputed WWE Championship celebration
Sami Zayn is now a two-time Undisputed WWE Champion and might want to celebrate his victory.
After beating CM Punk, it could be time for a celebration for “The Last Real Good Guy.”
While there will be plenty of people wanting to rain on his parade, Zayn should have the chance to walk out and celebrate his accomplishment.
There is a lot of different ways that Same Zayn could hold a celebration for his Undisputed WWE Championship win.
CM Punk gets his rematch
Back on the July 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Zayn went into the night thinking he was going to defend against Cody Rhodes, but after a pre-match attack, Punk returned in his hometown of Chicago to take the title opportunity.
With Zayn getting his rematch and winning, it only seems right that “The Best In The World” get another title shot.
Punk interrupting Zayn to get his rematch could set the stage for the next major title match on SmackDown.
Kevin Owens looks for revenge on Sami Zayn
During the CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn Undisputed WWE Championship match on the September 11 SmackDown, Kevin Owens inserted himself in the bout.
Owens tried to stop Zayn from using the title belt, but he instead helped Sami.
Knocking out Punk, Owens was then low blowed before Zayn went on to deliver a Helluva Kick and win the gold.
After being cost the title back on the August 21 SmackDown, KO is looking for revenge on the new Undisputed WWE Champion, which should come to fruition on the September 18 episode.
Johnny Gargano gets his title shot
Ahead of his Undisputed WWE Championship match, Sami Zayn was confronted by his friend Johnny Gargano.
Following months of their friendship, Gargano demanded that Zayn give him the first shot at the title if he won.
Then during the bout, Gargano tried to help Zayn get the gold before Punk gave him the Go To Sleep.
Now that he is the champion, it makes sense for Sami Zayn to give him his promised opportunity.
Six-Pack Challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship announced
The Undisputed WWE Championship picture on SmackDown has become one of the most compelling stories in the company.
With multiple title changes this year, it has drawn a lot of different competitors into the scene.
While Sami Zayn is the new Undisputed WWE Champion, he will have the likes of CM Punk, Kevin Owens, GUNTHER, Finn Balor and even Johnny Gargano gunning for him.
This may set the stage for Zayn to defend his title in a Six Pack Challenge in the near future.
