Rhea Ripley remains one of the most popular female stars on the WWE roster today, which makes it interesting to see what the company will do with her for WrestleMania 42.

Ripley is currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with IYO SKY, while she has recently qualified for the women’s Elimination Chamber.

Based on how important she has been to the card for the last three WrestleMania events, there are plenty of possibilities for Ripley to come this April in Las Vegas.

Here are six potential Rhea Ripley WWE WrestleMania 42 plans.

6. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

On the February 13 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, RHIYO defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

This bout went to a no contest when all four women started brawling on the floor with IYO putting Nia through a table, while Lash speared Rhea through the barricade.

This no contest could lead to a larger feud between these two teams that might not get settled until WrestleMania 42.

Having RHIYO defend the tag straps against Jax and Legend at Mania could make for a logical conclusion to the growing animosity between these two pairings.

5. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. The Bella Twins – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Brie Bella made her return as #29 in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

This led to Brie reuniting with her twin sister Nikki Bella during the Rumble match, which generated a massive reaction from the fans in attendance at the event.

On the February 2 edition of WWE Raw, The Bella Twins came out and staked their claim to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

This could lead to The Bellas challenging RHIYO for the title in Las Vegas, Nevada at WrestleMania 42.

4. Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer – Women’s World Championship

Following her win in the women’s Royal Rumble match, Liv Morgan has been contemplating her decision on which world champion she wants to challenge for at WrestleMania 42.

While she has appeared on SmackDown to tease a match for the WWE Women’s Championship, Morgan has more overtly hinted at challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title.

With Morgan keeping everyone guessing, it means that the winner of the women’s Elimination Chamber on February 28 could potentially challenge for the same title as the Royal Rumble winner.

If Rhea Ripley wins the Chamber, she could choose to challenge Vaquer, which could cause Morgan to pick the Women’s World Championship as well at WrestleMania 42 this April, leading to a three-way match.

3. Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY

Throughout 2025, the story between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY has dominated the Raw women’s division.

After SKY dethroned Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship in March, ‘The Genius of the Sky’ overcame both Rhea and Bianca Belair in a three-way match at WrestleMania 41.

This led to a rematch between IYO and Rhea at WWE Evolution that was centered on the fact that Ripley has never beaten her rival one-on-one, but she could still not get the job done when Naomi cashed in the Money In The Bank to win the title.

After a full year of their story as rivals-turned-friends and tag team partners, fans could see Ripley and SKY face off in singles competition one more time as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on the WrestleMania 42 stage.

2. RHIYO vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Judgment Day vs. Kabuki Warriors vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship TLC Match

The WWE women’s tag team division has become a centerpiece when it comes to storytelling on the company’s programming as of late.

While RHIYO stand on top as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, there has been the likes of Judgment Day, Kabuki Warriors and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss who have held the title over the past year.

Meanwhile, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria as well as Nia Jax & Lash Legend have all been gunning for the titles on both Raw and SmackDown.

With WrestleMania 42 on the horizon, it could be just the setting for RHIYO to defend the gold in a massive TLC match to highlight all these women at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

1. Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s Championship

On the February 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley defeated Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber match.

Entering the bout that will also feature Tiffany Stratton and Alexa Bliss, Ripley feels like one of the favorites to win the titular bout on February 28 in Chicago.

Over the past year, there have been a few teases and staredowns between Ripley and WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.

Rhea winning the Chamber could see her move on to face Cargill in a first time ever showdown at WrestleMania 42 that has the star power necessary to potentially headline one of the nights of ‘The Show of Shows’ in Las Vegas.
