At NJPW King of Pro Wrestling, Yota Tsuji defeated Ryohei Oiwa to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Post match, AEW’s Kenny Omega sent a video message challenging Tsuji, who responded by saying that “The Cleaner” should come to New Japan if he wants to face him.

This led to Boltin Oleg coming out to confront Tsuji, but Omega then made a surprise appearance to lay out both Oleg and Tsuji before once again issuing a challenge to the IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Here are some potential Kenny Omega NJPW return plans.

First time meeting with Boltin Oleg

Boltin Oleg has emerged as one of the next big stars for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

After a slow rise, Oleg took a step up during this year’s G1 Climax 36 tournament where he was among the standout performers.

During the tournament, Oleg defeated Yota Tsuji in the block rounds. This put him in position to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Boltin may need to face Kenny Omega to get his opportunity, which could make for an intriguing first time ever meeting for “The Best Bout Machine.”

Following NJPW King of Pro Wrestling, Kenny Omega made some post match comments with the media backstage.

During this promo, Omega suggested a three-way match with both Yota Tsuji and Boltin Oleg for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Power Struggle on November 3.

In Hiroshima, this would make for a massive title bout that could have ramifications on NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21.

This bout could see Omega capture the IWGP Heavyweight Title for a second time before the Tokyo Dome and go in as a defending champion instead of as the challenger.

Bringing Kota Ibushi back to New Japan

The history between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi is more than well documented and dates back almost 15 years.

The duo known as The Golden Lovers shared plenty of history together during their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Ibushi had a notable falling out with NJPW after he suffered a serious shoulder injury in the G1 Climax 31 Final.

Despite currently recovering from a career-threatening leg injury, Ibushi could make another comeback to New Japan thanks to Omega’s recent return.

Face Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21

As soon as Kenny Omega showed up on the screen at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling, most fans had one thought.

Omega is back for the Tokyo Dome and could potentially headline the upcoming NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21 event on January 4, 2027.

With Yota Tsuji vanquishing G1 Climax 36 winner Ryohei Oiwa in Ryogoku, there is nothing standing in the way of this enormous cross-promotional matchup.

Tsuji defending the IWGP Heavyweight Title against Omega would be the biggest match of his career and possibly the biggest match NJPW can offer fans for their huge Tokyo Dome event, so it feels like everything is in place for history to be made.
