On the January 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, Andrade El Idolo made his return to the company for the first time since the October 1 Sixth Anniversary show.
Meanwhile, AEW Maximum Carnage 2026 will see Kenny Omega make his return to the company and look to reinsert himself into the world title picture.
Looking ahead, there could be even more stars making their comeback to the promotion in the weeks and months to come.
Here are eight AEW returns potentially coming soon.
8. Thunder Rosa
Following AEW All In: Texas 2025, it was revealed that Thunder Rosa was taking time off to recover from an undisclosed injury.
Most recently, fans saw Rosa backstage during the January 10 edition of AEW Collision via social media videos with Queen Aminata and Red Velvet.
While the tapings took place in her home state of Texas, it could indicate that the former AEW Women’s World Champion is on her way back.
Rosa returning could allow her to position herself into one of the title pictures in the AEW women’s division.

7. Kamille
Signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2024, many fans believed Kamille would play a major role in the women’s division moving forward.
Upon her debut with the company, the former NWA World Women’s Champion aligned with Mercedes Moné. However, this partnership was short-lived with Kamille getting fired, attacked and written off television just months later.
Kamille returning could finally see her being positioned as a singles star in the AEW women’s scene for the first time since arriving.
Whether it be getting revenge on Moné or challenging for one of the singles titles, Kamille could be in line for a significant push upon her return to AEW television.

6. Wardlow
Back at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, Wardlow made his return to the company for the first time in over a year.
Attacking Prince Nana in front of Swerve Strickland and aligning with The Don Callis Family, it looked like Wardlow was in line for a notable push moving forward.
However, this was not meant to be as it was revealed the former three-time TNT Champion suffered an injury that has sidelined him ever since.
With reports indicating that he is expected to return sometime in 2026, Wardlow could come back and be positioned as a key player in the singles scene upon his in-ring comeback.

5. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
In January 2025, Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defeated Private Party to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Since this loss, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have not been seen on AEW programming in a year.
Now that a new year is underway, it would make a ton of sense if the company brought Private Party back into play.
Having the former AEW World Tag Team Champions make an immediate impact could help Private Party play a prominent role in the tag scene in the weeks and months to come.

4. Ruby Soho
Taking time off to give birth to her first child, Ruby Soho has been absent from AEW television for almost two years now.
While she has been enjoying her maternity leave with her child, fans have seen Soho training in the ring for a potential comeback down the road.
When she was active in AEW, Soho felt like someone who would one day become a champion in the company.
Giving her a grand return, Ruby Soho could become someone that is a vital part of the AEW women’s division and potential challenger for a title quickly upon her comeback.

Another AEW star who has been amid a lengthy absence from the company’s programming is Keith Lee.
Ahead of AEW Worlds End in December 2023, Lee was removed from the card due to lingering back injuries.
With his absence now lasting over two years, it has become a crucial question on when or if Keith Lee will ever appear on AEW TV again.
“The Limitless One” making his return should provide a ripple effect and alter the entire landscape of All Elite Wrestling moving forward.

2. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
Having been absent from AEW TV for over a year, many fans have been questioning the future of Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
The first female star to sign with the company back in 2019, Baker has stood front and center for the women’s division since the inception of All Elite Wrestling.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion should always be used in important storylines and be featured in a prominent way, especially if she does in fact return to the company.
With Kris Statlander currently AEW Women’s World Champion and Willow Nightingale a double champion holding the TBS and Women’s World Tag Team Championships, Baker could return as a heel and become the next challenger for one of these titles.

1. Jay White
At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20, Jay White made a surprise appearance during Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony.
The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been on the shelf with a broken hand and shoulder injury since April 2025.
Despite his surprise appearance, recent reports have indicated that “Switchblade” should be out of action for a little while longer.
White making his return should see him cause a shift in the main event scene for All Elite Wrestling and position himself as a new top contender for MJF’s AEW World Championship once he is back in the picture.
