All Elite Wrestling has been bolstering their men’s and women’s tag team divisions over the past few months.

From different duos forming to the likes of The Rascalz making their way to the promotion, these tag teams have added a lot to the different divisions.

Considering the recent additions of Doyle & Davis as well as Bustah & The Brain to the company, there could be even more duos forming in the weeks and months to come on AEW TV.

Here are seven new AEW tag teams to potentially form.

7. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor

On the January 24 edition of AEW Collision, a vignette aired with Alex Windsor talking to another star about forming a tag team.

This star was revealed to be former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter, who responded by saying she wanted to get matching gear.

Now with this partnership forming, AEW has filed a trademark on the name, “The Brawling Birds,” which many expect to be for this duo.

Hayter and Windsor could be a wonderful addition to the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship picture and become major threats to the Babes of Wrath moving forward.

6. Zayda Steel & Leila Grey

Back on the ROH Final Battle 2025 Zero Hour pre-show, Leila Grey defeated Zayda Steel in singles action.

The following night on AEW Collision, Mercedes Mone defeated Grey for the TBS Title. During the course of the bout, Grey suffered a torn ACL injury.

With Grey sidelined, SkyFlight recruited Zayda Steel to be part of the stable in place of Grey.

Steel and Grey forming a partnership upon Leila’s return could add a lot to the women’s tag team scene in a major way.

At AEW Full Gear 2025, Swerve Strickland made his return to the company and aligned with his former rival “Hangman” Adam Page against The Opps.

Over the past couple of months, Page and Strickland have teamed up in different matches against The Opps.

Forming an official tag team, Hangman and Swerve could become one of the best tag teams in All Elite Wrestling today.

Hikaru Shida has not competed on AEW television since late 2024 with many fans wondering when she will return.

Meanwhile, Riho made her return ahead of AEW All Out 2025 and went on to challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship.

Since the start of All Elite Wrestling in 2019, Riho and Shida have been among the most prominent names in the women’s division.

Pairing two former AEW Women’s World Champions together, Shida and Riho could become a major part of the women’s tag team scene.

At the Global Wars: Mexico event, Thunder Rosa teamed with Persephone to defeat Athena and Diamante in tag team action.

On January 14, it was announced that CMLL’s Persephone had signed a dual contract with AEW.

Rosa and Persephone forming a tag team could see them become a formidable pairing that can challenge Babes of Wrath for the titles down the line.

2. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Deonna Purrazzo

Back in the summer of 2024, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. made their return to the company after nearly a year away. However, this comeback was short-lived with Baker getting written off AEW television.

After being absent from the promotion for over a year, Baker could make a return in a tag team with Deonna Purrazzo.

While she is currently the ROH Women’s Pure Champion, Purrazzo has not been seen on AEW programming over the past year as well.

With years of being real life friends, Purrazzo and Baker forming a tag team could be a key factor in the two finally getting a prominent spot on AEW TV once again in the coming months.

1. Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay

Back in 2025, Kenny Omega made his return to All Elite Wrestling and formed a temporary alliance with Will Opreay against The Don Callis Family.

At AEW Grand Slam: Australia 2025, Omega and Ospreay teamed to pick up a win over The Don Callis Family’s Protoshita.

While this remains the only time Omega and Ospreay have teamed up with one another, fans could potentially see this partnership reunite upon “The Aerial Assassin” making his return from neck surgery in 2026.

Ospreay and Omega could give AEW one of the best tag teams to ever be assembled in the company’s history and would be the perfect challengers to potentially end FTR’s third reign with the gold.
